Our Engineering desk is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for their operations in the ME&A and India.
The purpose of the role is to manage the supply chain management operation in its entirety.
You will liaise with a number of internal teams, stakeholders and external parties.
Your responsibility begins from the time an enquiry/ order is received until the delivery of the products, invoicing and collections.
The position reports to the Head of the BU and closely works with internals sales coordinators.
You will forge strong relationships with business partners, suppliers and other service providers.
Primary Liaisons: Mills, Inspection agencies, testing laboratories, shipping companies
In addition, you will be responsible for:
Contracts review and project execution plans
Preparing supplier PO’s in coordination with the sales team
Verifying supplier sales contracts & order acknowledgement copies to make sure that they Correspond to the customer requirements
Facilitating and be involved in a number of internal and client meetings for project kick-off
Providing technical clarifications, material test certificates review and resolving quality claims with the inputs of the QC team
Making regular visits to sites and mills
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Engineering Degree – Electromechanical, Civil, Chemical Engineering or related field.
Industry Experience: Engineering, Steel, Construction, Oil & Gas
Minimum 3-8 years’ experience in the capacity of a supply chain manager/in-charge within the relevant fields (Oil & Gas, Construction, Engineering etc..)
Good hands-on experience in logistics and shipping
Solid connections in the Middle East region, international markets and/or India
Excellent presentation skills, written and spoken English
Ideal Age: 25 – 42 years
