Job Overview:
- As a Network Engineer, you will drive the security of our client’s networks – from the design and configuration of system builds, to establishing best-practice policies and guidelines for network optimization. Your knowledge and skills will support numerous internal clients and help the organization maximize its network capabilities.
- Ensure network and end-user backups are running properly on a daily/nightly basis. Troubleshoot/resolve any backup issues
- Testing of WAN failover and troubleshoot as necessary.
- Maintain and troubleshoot of end-user connectivity to network systems and applications.
- Define network policies and procedures
- Setup user accounts in Active Directory, permissions and passwords. • Ensure all critical software patches are applied on servers and end user PCs.
Requirements of the Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 7-12 years of full-time experience in the installation and maintenance of laptops, desktops, mobile devices, computer networks and Windows servers.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS (Win 7, Win 2008/2012 Server) and MAC OS
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory (creating User accounts, reset passwords, Group Policy, etc..)
- Working knowledge of DHCP, DNS / Solid data center experience, including VMware virtualization networking concepts.
- Working knowledge of switches, hubs, and network cabling, NAS and SAN devices.
- Experience with firewalls, Access lists (Cisco ASA, pfSense) and VPNs.
- CCNA and/or MCSE certified
