Overview 

We are representing a food manufacturing business that is seeking a Factory Manager for their facility in UAE.

The Role

To manage and co-ordinate the operational processes of the Production function processing foods.

The role involves overseeing the processing of raw materials and the production of high quality food products in accordance with customer specific recipes and specifications.

You will be responsible for the Production team, ensuring compliance to Quality, Technical, Food Hygiene and Food Safety standards.

The position reports to the Head of operations and will manage shift supervisors and the entire production and maintenance team.

You must be a strong leader with the ability  to motivate a team to ensure the Production department is run in a smooth and efficient manner, paying particular attention to the production plan and demand forecasts to ensure the correct volumes are being manufactured at the right time.

As the Manager heading production, you will manage and allocate tasks to the team of production operators and maintain department records relating to volumes, waste, efficiency, quality and H&S.

The Manager appointed will involve themselves in all aspects of the production process from raw materials entering the site through to packaging of finished products.

The incumbent  will work closely with their team to ensure a high quality and consistent product is being produced and there will be a requirement to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with other departments.

The Person

The ideal candidate must have a successful track record in food production with special focus in  nuts, milk, juices, pasta, cereals, chips, chocolates and/or snacks with 10-15 years’ experience in the food production business.

You will be confident with practical experience in managing a busy production area and resourceful with demonstrated man-management and problem solving experience.
