We are recruiting a Data Governance Manager for our esteemed client operating in the region.
In order to improve the quality and manage the safety of sensitive data and information assets, our company will require that a Data Governance Manager oversee and manage all organization-wide data governance initiatives.
In order to achieve the necessary level of consistency, quality, and protection to meet overall business needs, the position will be focused on creating and ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards, and practices, both at the departmental level and at the level of business and functional areas.
The Data Governance Manager works closely with Business and Functional area leadership to enhance the quality and value of core data assets and to meet regulatory protection needs.
He or she also acts as a point of escalation for governance, data quality, and protection issues.
Primary Accountabilities
Establish and oversee a strategy for implementing enterprise data governance that includes strategic objectives for the development of information-based capabilities.
Launch a framework for enterprise-wide data governance with an emphasis on enhancing data quality and safeguarding sensitive data by making changes to organizational behavior norms and standards, principles, governance metrics, procedures, associated tools, and data architecture.
Establish explicit accountability for the care of the company’s key information assets by defining roles and duties for data governance.
To ensure that data-related business requirements for securing sensitive data are properly defined, communicated, fully understood, and taken into account as part of operational prioritizing and planning, act as a liaison between business and functional areas and technology.
Create and keep a list of the corporate information maps,including owners, authoritative systems
Encourage the creation and adoption of data protection standards, data quality standards, and adoption guidelines within the company.
Define performance and quality measurements, and make sure that all data-related policies, standards, roles, and adoption criteria are followed.
Lead senior management to accomplish their goals using resources from business and functional areas, IT business functions, and data governance representatives.
Resolve issues raised by business and functional areas
Report on progress to Board management in concert with IT, and be in charge of overseeing recurring revisions to the Department Data Governance Roadmap.
Organize external data sources to reduce duplication and lower the cost of those services
Qualifications & Experience
Experience managing and overseeing large-scale data or projects for at least 10 years in a big services business.
A minimum of 5 years in a significant organization in a senior management position, with expertise leading change or transformation at the board level. understanding of cutting-edge data quality and data protection management techniques understanding of data governance procedures, commercial and technological challenges associated with managing enterprise information assets, and data protection techniques knowledge of government regulatory needs for data, as well as new trends and problems
Knowledge of risk data architecture and technology solutions, as well as demonstrated consulting skills with change management concepts and tactics, including communication, culture change, and performance measurement system design acknowledged both within and externally as a subject-matter expert that have an impact on how things are done
Desired Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, MIS, or Information Management
Leadership highest level of moral character and professionalism, and good work ethics ability to communicate transformation efforts’ vision and sense of mission ability to adapt to change and give guidance
Results-driven, prepared to commit to a course of action, and capable of completing operations demonstrated capacity to handle adversity and difficult circumstances
