Job Overview:

On behalf of our client, our Sales & Marketing team is seeking a General Manager with Tours & Travels industry exposure.

Your primary responsibilities would include promoting and marketing the business, managing budgets and maintaining financial records.

You will supervise the sales of travel products and tour packages, source products and destinations to meet consumer demands for bespoke travel, sustainable tourism and manage key customer relationships and lead an excellent team that will exceed customer expectations.

Liaise with external and internal stakeholders and establish long term business relations with such parties

Oversee the smooth and efficient operation of the business

Negotiate agreements with business partners likes of overseas travel partners, airlines and hotels and analyze market and re-align the business plan in response to market changes.

Requirements of the Ideal Candidate

Must have a University Degree in any discipline

13-20 years of relevant experience in the local market

Solid experience with Cargo and designing Holiday packages

Articulate, driven and ideally an individual with a strong personality

Excellent Managerial, organizational and communication skills

Resilience to cope with long hours and pressure at peak times

Ideal Age Range: 36 – 45 years
